HOW CAN I TELL IF MY PET IS HEALTHY?

While there is no exact equation to determine health, our list below can help you determine if there are any problems which need veterinary attention. If you answer "NO" to any question, please, consult your regular veterinarian.

1. My pet is acting in a normal and usual manner.

2. My pet has a normal appetite, and eats without difficulty.

3. My pet has normal bowel function and stools are firm.

4. My pet urinates normally and does not strain when doing so.

5. My pet drinks a normal amount of water.

6. My pet moves without pain, stiffness or other difficulty.

7. My pet has normal looking fur and toe nails.

8. My pet is free of fleas, ticks, mites or lice.

9. My pet breaths normally, coughs only on occasion, and has no trouble breathing.

10. My pet's skin is clean, and there are no odors or increased amounts of scales.

11. My pets eyes are clean, bright, and without discharge.

12. My pet's teeth are white and clean.

13. My pet's gums are pink and there is no bad odor.

14. My pet does not sneeze and there is no abnormal nasal discharge.

15. My pet's ears are clean and there are no bad odors or discharge.

16. I do not find lumps, bumps or other swellings on my pet's body.
