BOARDING

We do offer a variety of pet boarding services at the Glendale Animal Hospital.  We have a large complex with 30 runs, all indoor, air conditioned in summer and heated in winter.  We have a second building for smaller dogs.   We also house cats in indoor kennels. COMING SOON, a new more modern facility! Bigger runs, 2 play yards!

We have constructed a well-secured, large outdoor play area covered in grass and with several large shade trees.  "A dog's paradise for romping and playing."  Dogs are allowed out (with your permission) to play with other dogs of similar size. Dogs are given 2 play times each day at no extra charge. Click below for pictures.

REQUIREMENTS TO STAY

All dogs must be current on their distemper-parvo vaccine plus bordatella.  Cats must be current on their distemper-respiratory combo.  Veterinary proof (an official document) is required or we can vaccinate here.  We do not accept "breeder" or home vaccines, spay clinic, shot clinic or humane society/pound vaccines at all. To avoid any misunderstandings we ask you to allow us to review your vaccine records prior to the arrival of your pet. click here for more info on this policy

If dogs are going to be involved in group play, proof of current rabies vaccines is also required.

If we vaccinate your dog here for the distemper combo vaccine, rabies and bordatella you will be eligible to receive a 10% discount for boarding. If you vaccinate you cat for distemper-respiratory and leukemia with us, the same 10% discount will apply.  (note..feline leukemia vaccine not requred for stay, only for discount)

We can give medications at the time of your pet's stay.  If we dispensed the medication, this service is free.  Medications dispensed by any other provider are charged at $4 per day.  (Oral medications)  Please check with us on pricing for other services. (Ear medications, cleaning etc.)

From May 1 through September 30th we require dogs to have Frontline applied before they stay.  WE can sell you a single tube which can be applied, or you may bring your own tube, as long as it is applied in front of us.  (Hartz and Sargents NOT acceptable)

RATES

The discount rate applies immediately at all times of the year...as soon as you vaccinate with us as described, you get the lower rate.

All boarding from the Thursday prior to Thanksgiving Day until January 5th is guaranteed which means that you must leave a $30 per pet non-refundable deposit to make your reservation.  This $30 is applied towards your pet(s) boarding when they stay, but will be forfeited if you change or cancel the reservation.

There is also a three (3) day minimum stay during the holiday season.

CHECK-OUT TIMES

Check-out is before noon Monday thru Friday and before 11:45am on Saturday

On Saturdays, the day before Thanksgiving, Christmas or on New Year's Eve we are only open until Noon so all admissions and discharges need to be before 11:45am

NOTE: there is a charge for another days boarding added for departure after checkout time.
